Nia%2BCambodia%2B2016-12.jpg

Nia is a sensory-based movement practice that draws upon elements of dance, martial arts and healing arts such as yoga.  Practiced barefoot to music of all genres, Nia blends simple choreography, fast and slow movements, free movement, sounding and floorplay to create a practice which conditions the body, mind and emotions.

Since Nia teaches people to listen to and be guided by their body’s sensations, it increases body awareness and encourages people to move in their own unique way, making it completely safe and adaptable to people of all ages, fitness levels and abilities.
